MKT 398 Healthcare Sales
Entering a medical sales career requires a unique professional skill set that includes enhanced sales skills, process, knowledge, and perspectives to be a valued and effective hire for the many leading healthcare organizations. This course will help prepare you for what it takes to break into a sales role across a range of healthcare industries. Within the framework of the complex healthcare selling environment, the class will explore topics that include managing diverse healthcare stakeholders, developing value-driven proposals (e.g. economic as well as clinical value), healthcare distribution channels, ethical sales practices, typical technologies and data healthcare sales professionals utilize in the sales process, perspectives on sales compensation, “day-in-the life” perspectives and best practices for starting a healthcare sales career through the lens of leading healthcare sales executives and recruiters. Each course will also have a healthcare specific sales project experience and coaching in partnership with a leading healthcare company.
