MKT 377 - Sales Fundamentals

The field of professional sales exists in virtually every business, large or small. For any organization, revenue is its lifeblood, and sales drives that revenue. Yet it is a field that is commonly misunderstood. In reality, sales is a science with skills that are teachable, repeatable and measurable. In today’s business environment, companies are focusing their efforts on recruiting well-trained and refined sales professionals that generate substantial revenue. This course is designed to expose students to the energy, decorum, techniques, and methods of superior selling sought after in today’s business environment. Coursework will examine all full cycle of the sales process from identifying prospects to securing the sale. Application of techniques is crucial to learning this material, therefore students will be given the opportunity to implement learned techniques via selling presentations and activities.
